($140) Medium red. Herbs and pepper on the nose; seems less ripe than the Morey premier cru. Supple in texture but a bit disjointed in the middle, conveying an overripe/underripe character. Sappy, minerally and fairly broad but with a peppery element. Finishes with good density and length. The Morey premier cru is rounder today but this may well have more aging potential.
