($56) Good full red. Very ripe aromas of strawberry, smoke and earth.Broad and ripe but fairly dry, with red berry flavors enlivened by tangy acidity. Initially came off as slightly dry on the finish, with fine tannins, but showed sweeter red fruit flavors and suppler tannins with aeration.

The 2004 Pinot Noir Russian River is a blend of six different cool climate vineyards. Its dense ruby/purple color is followed by scents of plums, allspice, forest floor, and sassafras. With good acidity, medium to full body, and considerable ripeness, structure, and definition, it should drink well for 5-6 years.

Very charming, supple and harmonious, with layers of plum, black cherry and raspberry fruit that's fresh and refreshing. Finishes with a burst of dark fruit flavors, turning delicate.

The wine shows a mantle of beautiful ruby color with a nose of sassafras, spice, black cherry, cola and violets. The palate is ripe and smooth showing excellent extraction of black cherry, licorice and spice. The finish hints of smoke and java.
