There is almost no earth and not even a great deal of rock beneath it because it sits atop an ancient quarry that is still used by Bernard Clair to store wine) A discreet touch of wood toast highlights the white flower and citrus fruit nose that is perfumed and high-toned, giving way to flavors that are pure Puligny in style and character replete with gorgeous intensity and minerality. This too just oozes class and refinement and it is certainly recommended.

($100) Very ripe, leesy aromas of honey, iodine and vanillin oak. Ripe, silky and round but not at all heavy or thick. In fact, this very dry wine's lemony flavor and strong finishing acids give it a youthfully disjointed character today. Finishes with distinct spicy oak.
