($45; 16% alcohol) Good ruby-red. Aromatic nose combines blueberry and blackberry liqueur, licorice and flowers. Dense, peppery and sweet, with briary berry flavors complemented by dark chocolate. Finishes with chewy, building tannins and a flavor of black cherry.

The 2004 Zinfandel Dragon Vineyard is a spectacularly concentrated effort with 15.9% alcohol as well as beautifully sweet, jammy black cherry, raspberry, and plum fruit intermixed with notions of white flowers, earth, and crushed rocks. This complex, full-bodied, voluptuous Zin should drink beautifully for 7-8 years.

Another delicious Turley. Great concentration of flavor. Ripe raspberry fruit and blackberry compote complemented by flavors of licorice and baking spices flood the palate. Well-balanced showing restraint and even elegance in the right spots. Finish goes on and on.

Drank at New Years. Quite syrupy. Not as complex as I remember, still quite nice.
