($49) Good medium ruby. Wild berries, iron, mocha, sassafras and a dusty suggestion of earth on the nose. Dense but not especially sweet, with wild flavors of strawberry, raspberry and spicy oak and a whiff of funk. A wine of very good but not outstanding depth and nuance. Finishes with substantial, slightly drying tannins.

What a great Pinot. Bucher vineyard done proud by W&S. Brillant fruit, long length, has years left. Wish I could try this in 5-10 years - bet it would still be great.
