($40) Bright ruby-red. Blackcurrant, cola, minerals, tar and licorice on the nose, along with an oaky component that grew with aeration.Initially tight and ungiving if intense, this grew sweeter and more pliant as it opened in the glass. Finishes with substantial, slightly dry tongue-dusting tannins.
