More Vintages and Sizes of Siduri - Pinot Noir Clos Pepe Vineyard:
Author: Robert Parker
The deep ruby/purple-colored 2003 Pinot Noir Clos Pepe Vineyard offers a glorious perfume of charcoal smoke, black cherries, minerals, and flowers. Medium to full-bodied and elegant yet authoritatively flavored, this is an impeccably made Pinot Noir with loads of character as well as a long, persistent finish. It should drink well for 6-8 years.

Ripe, rich and lively, with a zesty medley of plum, blackberry, blueberry and hints of raspberry. Tightly focused, with delicate oak shadings peeking through, this is a wonderful expression of Pinot Noir fruit.

Not really sure what happened with this one - it was really hot and never really cooled down enough to get fruit. Clos Pepe is probably my favorite vineyard from Siduri but this was definitely not drinking well at this time. Little to no fruit (maybe a bit of burnt cherry) and super hot the entire 2 hours I nursed on the bottle. It was just a really expensive palette cleanser at this point. Looking forward to burning down a different vintage from this vintage in a year or so...
