This too is exceptionally ripe though it's not quite as dense and comes across as more elegant and refined. In particular, the finishing complexity is lovely and there is no acid snap that is present in the Les Cras. This is a very forward wine with buried tannins that could be approached young or held for 5 to 7 years. This finishes with a subtle but noticeable touch of warmth.

The 2003 Chambolle-Musigny Les Feusselottes was picked on August 28th at 14.5% natural potential alcohol and acidified 200 grams per barrel. Its violet and red cherry aromas lead to a medium-bodied core of red cherries as well as roses.

An opulent, blackberry-laced Pinot Noir whose supple texture is matched by lively structure and ripe, well-integrated tannins. It picks up chocolate, oak spice and mineral accents on the finish, which is long and satisfying.
