Aged in 80% new oak (of which 80% is French and the balance Pennsylvanian), this concentrated gem slathers the palate with black raspberries, spices, copious quantities of cherries, and blackberries that envelope its significant tannin

Tangy stuff, with a lifted note in the aromas and a gamy edge to the juicy wild berry and earthy spice flavors, framed with spicy oak on the jazzy finish. Distinctive, but it won't please a crowd. 2,576 cases made.

Blackberry, cassis and a hint of raspberry. The distinction of french oak and American is notable on the finish. Balance is impeccable, this is more of a French Merlot than CA.
