Aging beautifully, this exhibits pure, ripe, rich, high-toned dark berry, floral and lavender scents. Intense, focused, vibrant and layered.

Translucent deep red-purple color. Initially the wine is quite tight in the nose but significant airing allows the wine to bloom. Rose, chocolate, espresso, cola, vanilla, and sweet cherry aromatics. Thick and creamy in the mouth with considerable depth of fruit. Well integrated acidity and seemingly non-existent tannin (the depth of fruit currently obscures the tannin). Quite exotic and frankly delicious. Note, the barrel of clone 667 of the 2004 showed excellent dark color and a lot of power.
