More Vintages and Sizes of Faiveley - Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuees 1er Cru:
Issue: Issue 17
The aromas are a bit riper and mix both red and black pinot fruit notes as well as a subtle hint of minerality. The flavors however are a striking mix of size and finesse as there is incredible volume here yet this dances across the palate even as the incredible amount of sève coats the mouth. Wow, this is potentially at another level as there is depth, breadth and huge length yet everything remains in impeccable balance. In short, this is one of the very top 1ers of the vintage.

(includes Faiveley's "two buckets" of Musigny) Bright ruby-red. Precise aromas of red and black berries, minerals and violet. Juicy, sharply delineated and intense, with terrific inner-mouth energy and a real whiplash of fruit on the back. Finishes very long and perfumed, with firm tannins and lovely lift. I never would have guessed the vintage.
