(from 50+ year old vines) Fresh with deeper and more of everything, in particular old vine sap with that lovely and utterly seductive mouth coating texture and inner mouth perfume that marks the finest burgundies. In sum, this is an elegant, pure, precise and harmonious effort with real breed.

($170) Good bright, deep red. Candied strawberry, raspberry and mocha on the nose. Juicy, bright and fine-grained, with cherry and raspberry fruit complicated by an herbal element. Boasts lovely sweetness but also very good lift. Finishes aromatic and long. Here's a fresh 2003 that should age well.
