($44-$60) Enticing bright yellow-gold color. Subdued but very pure aromas of orange peel, apricot, honey and spices. Supersweet, fat and spicy; wonderfully round, chewy and unctuous. As thick and '03-like as this is, it remains fresh and lively. Not the last word in complexity but this fine-grained wine is delicious already, and finishes with superb, palate-staining persistence.

So big and round and unctuous. Yet saved by its structure. Beginning, middle and end with a toastiness. Undertow. Great stuff. Enjoy it while you may!

Still hanging on and relatively corpulent. Very rich and fragrant, as is typical of this very warm, ripe vintage. I would have liked more acidity and structure, but this shows plenty of sexy, heady botrytis, and not as much orange marmalade notes as is typical of most Sauternes. Drink now through 2014.

From memory. Very lively, super fresh, with crisp acidity balancing very sweet notes of apricots and caramel. A really good sweet wine.

Golden hue. Classic nose of acacia honey, stone fruit. Sweet, full, lush and vibrant. Nice length. Wonderful closing with a roquefort, perfectly offsetting the salty texture. In fine shape now, no particular signs of fatigue. Excellent value. Open and reload!
