Bright ruby-red. Deeply pitched currant, dark chocolate, spice and tarry oak aromas; slightly liqueur-like. Then lush, fat and superripe, with a sweet, chocolatey flavor verging on port-like. Finishes with lush, substantial tannins. As with the basic Neyers cabernet, I'm not sure I would have picked the variety blind.
