(14.4% alcohol and 90 g/l r.s.; here fully half the fruit was nobly rotten) Exotic aromas of ripe pineapple and honey. Superripe and intensely spicy, with firm-edged acids giving the wine a slightly more aggressive character today than the Heimbourg. Comparatively backward gewurztraminer, less expressive today than the Heimbourg. Finishes with cinnamon and nutmeg notes and some obvious tannins.

A rich, powerful wine, fragrant with honey, guava, apricot, spice and smoke aromas and flavors. It softens across the palate, revealing a silky texture and ample acidity to keep it fresh and lively on the finish. Think foie gras or Muenster cheese.
