Opened bottle at 10 AM to air prior to celebratory lunch. It smelled like wax (wax seal on bottle). Tasted like nothing. Tried again in 2 hours - same result. Tried later in the day - nothing changed. Maybe it was going through a dumb period (shuts down and then comes back a few years later). So disappointed. Will open another bottle - hope it won't be the same result.

Deep purple color with a very big, burly, and ripe nose of dark fruits, new wood, candied plum, vanilla spice, and cotton candy. Thick and rich with excellent concentration and good length. Lush acids coupled with moderate tannin.
