Not particularly fruity or complex but finishes firm and brisk, with good lift and spice character. A restrained, subtle California chardonnay.

The 2002 Chardonnay South River exhibits pineapple and tropical fruit notes, along with hints of wood smoke and citrus oil. The wine possesses medium to full body, zesty acidity, and a bright, focused, full-bodied style. This generous, substantial Chardonnay is not close to exhibiting its full potential.
