($30-$39) Good full ruby-red. Expressive aromas of currant, graphite, smoke, leather and game. Distinctly lusher than the 2004 but with a restrained sweetness. A fairly large-scaled Clerc-Milon that finishes with substantial toothdusting tannins.

Cedar, burning embers, licorice, black currants, and espresso notes jump from the glass of this dense ruby/purple-colored, firm, tannic, powerful, and muscular style of Clerc-Milon. Quite virile, a bit angular, but at the same time packed and stacked, full and concentrated, this impressive blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot actually has higher alcohol (13.2%) than the 2003.
