($75) Bright ruby-red. Tangy wild berries, cola, meat and pungent oak scents on the nose. Dense, thick and fat, but with more energy, spice and depth than the Shea Vineyard bottling. Delivers the flavor intensity of this very promising vintage. Spicy, building finish. Serious pinot.

Finally one of the bottles of various Beaux Freres I have/had struts its stuff. Nicely made, not too new world, not old world. lacking great complexity for the price, but was good going down.
