More Vintages and Sizes of Viader - V:
International Wine Cellar
Author: Stephen Tanzer
Issue: Issue 120
($90) Moderately saturated ruby-red. Musky aromas of blackberry, licorice and dark chocolate. Full, plump and sweet, with a slight edge of acidity giving it good vinosity. Finishes with substantial dusty, slightly drying tannins. A bit less refined than the estate's fla gship wine.

Wow what a wine. Luscious is a great descriptor: silky but spine-stiffening tannins from the P. Verdot, black fruits together with subtle floral notes and earth/brown tobacco/tar mated very nicely by the presence of balanced oak. This is what Howell Mountain fruit can do, I wish I had more.

Really loved it. Velvety and full of fruit, but solid! Order more.
