Aging very nicely, this is smooth, supple and complex, in great drinking space. Ripe currant, wild berry, mocha, dill, cedar and tobacco are full-bodied, gaining on the finish. 2001 California Cabernet blind retrospective (June 2011). Drink now through 2017. 30,000 cases made.

Decanted for about 30 minutes. Nose full of leather & pencil shavings and flavors of white pepper & dried fruit. Nice legs, color with no tannins but body was very thin. Possible this one was past its prime. Disappointing.

Still abit young but continued opening up very nicely after the first hour. Still there was lots of glycerin combined with soft and slightly sweet tannins. Dark fruit and slightly earthy. Went along well with the filet mignon, salmon, halibut and dessert !
