The 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon (490 cases produced) boasts an inky blue/black color as well as an extraordinary perfume of melted licorice, creme de cassis, liquid minerals, white flowers, and vanilla. It possesses sensational intensity, full body, a voluptuous mid-palate, striking purity, and a finish that lasts nearly 50 seconds. Remarkably rich, well-balanced, and intense, though I have no idea how it will age, everything suggests it will have 10-12 years of glorious drinking ahead of it ... at a minimum.
