($60) Dark red. Aromas of raspberry, coffee, mocha, flowers and exotic woodsmoke. Sweet and fairly pliant but powerfully structured and backward, with a strong impression of extract. Finishes with pepper and oak notes and fairly fine tannins. But this big boy needs a few years of additional bottle aging.

Delicious. Refined and racy, with floral, rose petal, cassis and citrus character. Not very concentrated in the midpalate, but this medium-bodied, succulent red seduces with its long finish.
