Translucent black cherry red hued wine with a full but controlled nose of sweet vanilla spice, cherry, plum, blood, slight iron, a touch of licorice, and lightly toasted oak. Strong but delicate fruit on the palate. Tannins appear virtually nonexistent and acidity is excellent. The wine has considerable length with fruit, caramel, and a little wood. Gossamer elegance allayed with feminine strength ? the best kind of Pinot Noir. Somewhat reminiscent of a quality Vosne-Romanee premier cru.
