A long barrel-aged cuvee, the 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Deep Time reveals a personality reminiscent of a top-notch Haut Brion or La Mission Haut Brion, only richer and fuller. Sweet blueberry and black raspberry fruit interwoven with hints of wet gravel, burning embers and charcoal lead to a full-bodied, stunningly deep, velvety textured wine with a voluptuous texture, deep fruit and a broad, multilayered mouthfeel and finish. This sensational, complex 2001 appears to be fully mature and I suspect it will last another two decades.
