Founded in 1956, Hanzell has one of the longest histories of making old world style wines in California. Utilizing French clones and minimal malolactic fermentation gives wines with brilliant acidity and structure. Hanzell Chardonnay has the rare ability to taste great young, and cellar for many years. Here I find well integrated aromas of pear, spicy apple and citrus followed by flavors of crisp pear framed by richness.
