International Wine Cellar Author: Stephen Tanzer Issue: Issue 114

($60; includes 10% cabernet franc and 4% merlot) Good full ruby. Aromas of cassis, violet, lead pencil, bitter chocolate and mint. Very dense and concentrated, with superripe but fresh flavors of violet and chocolate. Finishes with full but nicely integrated tannins. This has turned out well, but the 2002 will be even stronger.
