This is awe inspiring Pinot Noir and is one of the best Pinots I have ever tasted from the New World (and frankly only the absolute best Burgundies can compete with this wine). Medium purple red colored nearly translucent wine with a few thin slightly pigmented legs. A complex ever changing perfumed nose of minerals, stone, vanilla, plum, cinnamon, light blood, apple, veal tartare, wisps of anise, tangerine peel, a touch of earth, clay, mocha, and strawberry. Ethereal on the palate, all crushed velvet with sweet but nimble fruit, caramel, and mocha, with virtually unlimited nuances. What every Pinot Noir producer strives for ? complexity, intensity, and finely delineated texture yet ephemeral all at the same time. Bravo!
