Big, delicious and quite dense with effusive red and black fruits plus flavors that deliver grand cru size while retaining a fine sense of finesse and elegance. Silky, racy and this finishes with a distinctly elegant purity though this is not anywhere near as powerful as the Richemone.

($101) Deep ruby-red. Roasted black fruits, dark chocolate and a meaty note on the nose. Fat, seamless and full, with sweet flavors of currant, black plum, bitter chocolate and spicy oak. The torrefaction element verges on heavy. Finishes with chewy, slightly spiky tannins and very good length.
