(includes some declassified villages wine plus the young vines from the replanted Blagny 1er vines; the Blagny still exists but has been partially replanted to chardonnay vines) I very much liked this from barrel and now that it is in bottle, it delivers all of the quality it originally promised. There is a lot of wine here for this level with exceptionally good finesse, plenty of elegance and solid density. Ripe, slightly warm fruit notes introduce medium weight, nicely rounded flavors underpinned by beautiful acidity and surprisingly good finishing complexity. Forward and very pretty with solid flavor definition and while this can already be enjoyed, it will be capable of developing over the next one to three years if you have the patience to wait. This is a serious Bourgogne and it knocks on the door of premier cru quality. One to buy by the case as it delivers simply fantastic value.

Buttered toast and smoke can be discerned in the aromatics of the 2000 Bourgogne Blanc. This fruit-forward, medium-bodied wine delights the palate with apples, yellow/white fruits, and minerals. It is well-balanced, lush, and ample. Drink it over the next 6-7 years.

Fully mature. Yellow gold. Still a very nice drink with yellow fruits and gentle spice notes. Round but with some definition and a touch of mineral. Overall, still quite good, but it certainly doesn't seem like it will get any better.
