Wine Spectator Author: James Suckling

Pretty berry, chocolate and vanilla character, with medium body, fine tannins and a silky finish. Lacks a bit of punch, but a very good wine.

La Lagune has always been a great value in Bordeaux especially for a third growth. The 82 remains one of the best buys from that now exorbitantly priced vintage. An attractive deep purple red color. The wine?s warm nose shows lots of oak, plum, and some express alcohol. Good length on the finish. Lots of prickly heat and tannins in the mouth. Excellent potential if this wine puts on enough weight to handle the alcohol level.
