The 2000 Pinot Noir Camp Meeting Ridge is a seductive, exotic, gamy, and opulent example. Its evolved dark garnet color is followed by sweet, flowery aromas revealing hints of prunes, jammy red and black currants, forest/soil notes, and an exotic gamy/earthiness frequently found in red Burgundies, but much more rare in California's more fruit-driven Pinots. There is a lot going on in this opulent, seductive 2000. Drink it over the next 6-7 years. This wine is an outstanding, complex, elegant, flavorful effort with multiple nuances. It is unfiltered.
