Wine Advocate Author: Antonio Galloni Issue: Tuscany I

Medium ruby. The 2000 Brunello is a big, powerful wine, with plenty of sweet super-ripe cherry fruit and good concentration on the palate although the tannins are a bit rough and it falls somewhat short on the finish. It is an excellent effort for the vintage, although clearly not at the level of the 2001.
