($270) Full medium red. Pure, complex, perfumed aromas of violet, gunflint, minerals, spices and earth. Sweet but light on its feet, lifted by a note of menthol. Quite youthfully unevolved, but finishes with noteworthy persistence. Tannins are firm and dusty.
