Packs in lots of ripe, rich, complex Cabernet flavors, gushing with ripe currant, plum and wild berry, turning spicy and revealing pretty oak and herb shadings as well. Long, smooth aftertaste. 26,000 cases made.

Dark purple color. Strong aromas of black currant and black cherry. On the palate it developed into a full bodied fruit bomb with just a slight hint of chocolate and espresso. The tannins were not very well balanced with the fruit. The finish started strong but dropped sharply.

Reviews of this wine seems to be mixed. 2000 was seen as a tough year for CA Cabs. Decanting for a couple of hours was recommended. Wine notes ranges but thin was used often.
