More Vintages and Sizes of Duckhorn - Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley:
Author: Robert Parker
The 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon's deep ruby/purple color is followed by elegant, sweet aromas of black currants intermixed with tar, earth, and vanillin. It is a moderately weighty, pure, well-balanced, savory, medium-bodied, elegant Cabernet that warrants consumption over the next 5-9 years.

Well-balanced, with a blend of ripe currant, plum, mocha-scented oak and hints of dusty herb and cedary oak. Finishes with ripe, supple tannins and good length.

Tasty, but could benefit from a bit more cellaring.

Dark red, purplish in color. The bouqet was still nice - dark berries, some current and even some chocolate. The tannins were very mild and on the palate the fruit dominated. The finish was faint - if you have any of this wine left, drink it now.

A full nose with green and black olive, some herbaceousness, cocoa powder and diffuse fruit scents. Very forward and ends nicely with sweet caramel flavor. 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13 % Cabernet Franc, 12% Merlot aged for 19 months in French oak, 78% of which was new. Drink now.
