(with 8% cabernet franc, 6% merlot and 3% petit verdot) Rich, full nose combines roasted currant, cedar, spice box, chocolate mint, coconut and smoky oak, along with a lightly leafy quality. The lushest and fullest wine of this tasting, with the most harmonious combination of fruit and acidity. Dense but firm and nicely delineated. Finishes with fine, spreading tannins that coat the mouth and teeth.

Dill, lavender and mocha scents are followed by a trace of coconut and layers of spicy currant, herb, sage and plum flavors. Very rich and concentrated. Impeccably balanced, with a long, persistent aftertaste that keeps echoing fruit and oak. Some will find the oak excessive, others just the Silver Oak signature. 20,091 cases made.
