The medium to dark ruby-colored 1999 Cotes de Nuits-Villages has a spicy, black fruit-scented nose. Medium-bodied, fresh, and rich, it expands on the palate, revealing loads of blackberries and cassis. This wine has excellent grip and ripe, sweet tannins.
