The medium to dark ruby-colored 1999 Volnay Clos Des Chenes has a nose of sweet black fruits and toasted oak. Medium-bodied and silky-textured, it offers a roasted, smoky, toasty personality of blackberries, black raspberries, and cherries. Its finish is long, pure, and firm.
