(a blend based on 65% cabernet franc) Good full medium ruby. Flamboyantly aromatic nose melds baked blackberry, black cherry, minerals, bitter chocolate and a head shop of exotic spices. Lush, chewy and sweet but not at all heavy, with dark berry and spice flavors enlivened by violet and mint components. Boasts impressive density for a wine based on cabernet franc. This has personality and spine.

First I will say this was by far the most sediment I have ever seen in a wine bottle. I think the bottom 1/4 was undrinkable being so cloudy. That said it was also by far the finest Cabernet Franc based wine I have ever tasted. It was dark & full bodied with the typical earthiness from the Cab Franc yet it was lively & not overly tannic. Complex with very nice dark fruit flavors. Surprisingly young tasting given it's age. It was full bodied and elegant at the same time.

Still concentrated and youthful. Was not sure how it would last, but clearly has many years to go. Dark purple, light chocolate, slight burnt rubber, smooth tannin and long finish.
