The dense purple-colored 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon 18th Anniversary Release offers a sweet nose of cassis, earth, herbs, and minerals. In the mouth, it is muscular and austere, with firm, high tannin in addition to a compressed finish. It will need 3-4 years of cellaring when released, and should easily evolve for 15 years.

A big, bold, decadent style, with leathery currant, juicy plum, wild berry and black cherry flavors. On the finish, the fruit wins out (but not without a struggle). Sufficient tannins and concentration to cellar short-term. 1,441 cases made.
