Elegant, polished, supple and complex, with pretty currant, cedar, anise, sage and tar notes. Turns firmly tannic. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 25,000 cases made.

Amazing tobacco and cassis on the nose with a chewy presence in the mouthfeel. The finish is decent at about 30 seconds, but not the best opus i have had. My favorite is still the 95 but this is a close 2nd or 3rd.

GIVEN THE VINTAGE I WAS SURPRISED WHEN I DRANK THIS IN NOVEMBER OF 2012. STILL HAD A LOT OF FRUIT, BALANCED WITH THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF ACIDITY AND OAK. BE CAREFUL AS IT MAY AT ITS PEAK.
