(1997 was the first vintage for this bottling) Full red. Deep, brooding nose combines roasted red fruits, leather, tar and camphor. Sweet, lush and deep; conveys an impression of great delicacy in spite of its sheer size. An extremely harmonious wine with wonderfully palate-caressing fruit and thoroughly ripe acidity. The tidal wave of finishing fruit rolls by the big, sweet tannins.

Lively ruby. A stunning wine, with gorgeous sensations of freshly cut roses, licorice and tar that soar out of the glass. The palate shows great concentration, with much sweet rich fruit, tremendous length, and a fresh finish that makes this wine very complete and intensely satisfying. This should provide exceptional drinking for 20+ years. Highly recommended.

Exotic, almost jammy aromas, with hints of spices and flowers. Full-bodied, with big, round tannins and a ripe, almost sweet fruit finish. This is a young and lively red. Like tasting crushed berries. 1,200 cases made.
