Well-proportioned, with a mix of rich coffee, toffee, currant, herb, cedar, earth and tar, it struggles to find a focus and then turns dry, earthy and tannic.

Solid but not exceptional. Lacks complexity but has a solid core of fruit and tannins that have mellowed resulting in a wine that is plesant and easy drinking.

Drank with Turkey Meatballs (in a broth and escarole base). Was slightly corky on opening. Very "Aromatic/Perfumey" as Erica put it. Cork tast burnt off after about an hour. Maybe would have been better with aeration for an hour or so.
