Quite spicy and elegant with a lovely core of complexity and superior length. Not as structured as the rest of these 98s but there is enough material here to warrant 8 to 12 years of aging.

Saturated red-ruby. Spicy aromas of red and black fruits, roasted nuts and tobacco, plus a whiff of apple. Rich, supple and rather full, with redcurrant and oak flavors. Despite firm acidity, this could use a bit more freshness. Finishes with spicy oak and a hint of caramel.
