Elegant and complex, with layers of currant, black cherry, anise, cedar and sage. A big, full-blown style that packs in lots of flavor. Not as good as when tasted from barrel.Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 15,000 cases made.

Had this one side by side with Opus One Overture. By far the better of the two. Well rounded and smooth. Still some grippy tannins in the back-end but all in all, a nice wine.

Still drinking nicely. Lot's of tobacco, earth, and leather tones with good fruit and very integrated tannins.

Easy (too easy) I would put this in a class of standard quaffing wines. Not much on the palette or finish. Would not pay the premium again for this wine. Better off with buying more bottles of 2006/2007 BV Tapesty or Hall 2008 for half the price. At least the bottle of wine wasn't corked. Save your money and put it elsewhere. Regards, Tony.

Very weak on the palette until fully opened up, which took about 2 -3 hours. Then gentle and delicate, best drunk on its own.
