Wine Spectator

A well-structured Sass, with plenty of blackberry and dried herb character. Full-bodied, with plenty of ripe tannins and a currant bush and herb finish. Give it time to develop.

Cherry color, very light smoke smell, with pepper and spice. The taste was well balanced and smooth. Not a heavy wine, but light. Nice currant and mild berry flavors.

Tasting alot of tannis still present, suggesting it could probably sit for another 2 to 3 years before plateau. The aroma almost makes up for it, with strong tastes of mocha or dark chocolate and deep current hints that deliver a mature fruit taste and presents a long finish that lasts almost an hour.

Excellent fruit but a bit flabby. Only a hint of tannin left with a weak finish. Should have drank last year, maybe.
