More Vintages and Sizes of Pierre Morey - Meursault Les Perrieres 1er Cru:
Photo of actual year not available
Author: Allen Meadows
A simply gorgeous nose of white flowers, stone and a complex array of citrus notes leads to pure, tight and moderately lean yet superbly well defined middle weight flavors that possess outstanding length. This is a vibrant, backward and incredibly youthful effort that will take years to realize their full potential. A great young Perrières that would be a complete waste to open now.

Revealing an intense nose of minerals and stones, the fabulous Meursault Perrieres has awesome depth, richness, and delineation. This elegant wine is packed with gravel, smoke, and toasted nuts and possesses a medium-to-full-bodied, silky-textured, and highly-concentrated personality.

No sign of pox. Nose is correct, but dominated by oak. In the mouth, site characteristics also blurred by oak and notably lactic. Light to medium body, moderate acid, light fruit and decent length. Oak does not subside much with an hour's air. Hard to imagine this will become better integrated.
