Brooding yet surprisingly delicate aroma of apple, pear and smoky, spicy oak. Then voluminous and powerful on the palate, with superb oily depths and authoritative structure. Almost painfully backward on the decisively dry, very strong aftertaste, which features a late burst of pineapple.
