Beautiful black fruit aromas laced with Vosne spice leads to medium weight, elegant, sappy and quite dense flavors that offer beautiful complexity and terrific length. What it isn't at this point is especially complex but the tannins are well-integrated and this should drink well for all its life. I would give it another 10 years and drink over the next 10. Really pretty juice of evident class.

Slightly less depth of color. Redcurrant, smoke and herbs on the nose. Silky but closed on the palate, though the flavors build with aeration. Toasty, lingering finish, with nicely integrated, ripe tannins.

Dujac's light-colored wines are a testament to how much punch a deceptively shallow-looking Pinot Noir can deliver. The medium ruby-colored Echezeaux displays sweet, plummy fruits in the nose and an extremely refined, silky-textured, violet and cherry-filled, beautifully intense flavor profile. Elegant, this delicate gem should be at its best between 2004-2012.
